Location: Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains
About an hour outside of Knoxville, TN, Cades Cove is one of the most iconic (and photogenic) spots to elope in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There are multiple scenic spots along the loop road, including rustic chapels and mountain fields, making it ideal for small, intimate ceremonies. A permit is required for weddings and elopements in the park—don’t worry, I help with all of that in my Smoky Mountain elopement packages so you get the best of both worlds.

For your attire, consider outfits that have an wild and whimsical vibe that will make you feel like royalty. When picking attire for an adventure elopement in the mountains, think about the terrain and weather, something that you feel GOOD in and can easily move around, lightweight fabric, and practical shoes. You can go as traditional or alternative (think jumpsuits, colored dresses, etc.) as you want here! A longer veil may seem traditional but it looks fantastic in photos with the wind blowing it around!
